Chobe National Park

Chobe National Park is regarded as one of the world’s last remaining true wilderness areas and one of  the greatest game parks in Africa. Chobe National Park is the third largest park in Botswana , after the Central Kalahari Game Reserve and the remote Gemsbok National Park in the south-western corner of the country.

Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park

Come and include the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park in your South Africa-Botswana safari. This is the protected area in the southern Kalahari Desert. The park has a combined area of 38,000 square kilometers of which 28,400 square kilometers lies in Botswana and the reminder in South Africa.

Makgadigadi Pans Transfrontier Park

Makgadigadi Pans Transfrontier Park is the remnant of a great lake which once covered most of Botswana. Being the largest of their kind in the world, providing the traveler with a unique experience in a land of glaring, saline, sandy expanses.

Mashatu Game Reserve

Mashatu Game Reserve covers 46,000ha of savannah plains, riverine forests, open marshland and rugged outcrops of sandstone. It is the  largest private reserve in Southern Africa with the largest number of elephant population (nearly 900) on private land in the world.

Moremi Game Reserve

The Moremi Game Reserve has recently been enlarged and it now covers about 4,875 square kilometers that includes all of Chief’s Island and the north bank of the Khwai River which is also an important game viewing area. It also combines mopane woodland and acacia forests, floodplains and lagoons.

Nxai Pan National Park

Located close by the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park, the Nxai Pan National Park coves approximately 2,580 square kilometer. Nxai Pan name is believed to derive its meaning  by some people, to mean a hooked metal rod used to remove springhares from their holes. Others  think it simply mean a pan.

Okavango Delta

Another place include in your African safari is the Okavango Delta. Located in Botswana and the delta is the most famous and certainly the most spectacular, floodplain in the world. It is also the largest inland delta in the world and covers about  13,000 square kilometer maze of waterways, lagoons and papyrus-lined islands.

The Central Kalahari Game Reserve

The Central Kalahari Game Reserve was founded in 1961 and  was created to provide a refuge for the San Bushmen. It is the largest game reserve in the world. Its remoteness, unforgiving climate and harsh terrain have kept it pristine and untouched.
